Four Arraigned in Court over the Execution of Boko Haram Leader

Former Boko Haram Leader,
 Late Mohammed Yusuf
Justice will soon come the way of former Boko Haram leader, Mohammed Yusuf who was summarily executed in 2009 by some Nigerian policemen shortly after he was captured for stirring up civil disobedience in Maiduguri.
Four policemen have been arraigned in court in Abuja awhile ago amid tight security over the summary execution of the ex-leader of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad.
This development is fueled by Nigeria’s seriousness in tackling her security challenges.
It is also coming at a time when Maiduguri, the Boko Haram hub is witnessing unrest following increased bombing by the Islamic sect.
Meanwhile, the former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff has called on all the people of Borno State to join hands together in arresting the deteriorating security situation in the State.
Sheriff, who disclosed that he had not been to Borno State since he handed over the State’s mantle of leadership, said he tried his best to curb the security menace while in office.
He spoke to Newsmen in Abuja shortly after paying a call on the President.
The security situation in Maiduguri has increasingly deteriorated in the last few days culminating in the closure of most schools including the University of Maiduguri, the banning of motorbikes and mass exodus of people from the troubled spot.
